Real results from real businesses, on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.
The problem: Lawyers and legal assistants were spending the first hour of every day manually reading, sorting, and filing emails into their practice management system. Multiply that by 18 people, five days a week - that's time that should be spent on billable legal work.
What we built: Two AI systems that run quietly in the background. The first reads every incoming email, understands the context, and files it into the right client matter automatically. The second listens to client consultations, then writes both a professional client letter and an internal file note - a task that used to take 30-45 minutes per meeting.
What changed: The team now walks in and gets straight to work. Emails are already sorted. Letters are drafted before the lawyer finishes their coffee. The firm now recovers $1.3M a year in productivity, and counting - Pat, the email triage assistant, saves $81,000 a month on its own, and Donna, the consultation assistant, another $35,000.
"For a small business owner who barely has time to eat lunch, every minute with Bart is worth an hour without him." - Maud & Shane, SEQ Campers
The problem: Thirty years of reputation, a YouTube channel full of great video content - and two owners with no time to use any of it. Marketing happened whenever there was a spare hour, which in a busy family business is never. The content they'd already made was sitting there doing nothing.
What we built: Scout AI - a content system that takes their raw YouTube videos and cuts them into a month of ready-to-post social clips and posts in one pass. Alongside it, an AI competitor intelligence engine that watches their market, and monthly performance analytics that evolve the strategy with real data.
What changed: The content engine now runs without the owners touching it. Cutting clips from their most popular YouTube videos takes 90% less time, subscribers grew by double digits within the first three months, and engagement is up across both YouTube and Facebook. And what started as a single project has grown into an ongoing partnership: we now work with Maud and Shane on AI strategy across the whole business, systematising how it runs end to end.
The problem: The founder was spending 10 hours every week on lead generation - manually researching prospects, building lists, qualifying leads, and preparing outreach. That's more than a full day per week on work that wasn't actually placing candidates.
What we built: An AI-powered lead generation pipeline that researches prospects, qualifies them against the firm's ideal client criteria, and prepares personalised outreach - all without the founder lifting a finger.
What changed: That 10-hour weekly task now takes about 75 minutes. The founder got an entire day back every week to focus on what actually generates revenue - placing candidates and building client relationships. And because the AI does the research more thoroughly than a human can in the same timeframe, the quality of leads actually improved.
A 20-minute conversation is all it takes to find out if AI could save you time.
"Blue Seas built an AI voice agent for our business that we use as a receptionist for incoming calls. We're very happy with the result and the continued support of Blue Seas AI." - Anthony Flynn, Tarp Hire Australia
The problem: Calls came in while the team was out in the yard, on a delivery, or after hours - and in equipment hire, a missed call is usually a customer ringing the next hire company on the list.
What we built: Aurora, an AI voice receptionist that answered incoming and overflow calls around the clock, handled the common questions, captured the caller's details and what they needed, and emailed the team a summary of every call.
What changed: Far fewer rings went unanswered. After-hours and weekend enquiries were captured with the details ready for a callback, and the team stopped being interrupted mid-job by calls Aurora could handle. The system ran live in production for 12 months.
The problem: More and more of their market - homeowners, brokers, lenders - now asks ChatGPT, Copilot or Google's AI who to use. When we audited the firm's website for AI readability, it scored 56 out of 100: no structured data anywhere, no FAQ content, and a hero that never said who they serve or where. To an AI assistant, a six-office national firm was barely visible.
What we did: A full Answer Engine Optimisation implementation across the homepage, 15 location pages, every service page and the team page - structured data that tells AI systems exactly who the firm is, a seven-question FAQ built around what buyers, lawyers and accountants ask, an answer-first rewrite of the hero, and an llms.txt welcome file for the AI crawlers that feed every major assistant.
What changed: Three days after the baseline was captured, the site was re-audited at 94 out of 100 - with Google's own Rich Results Test confirming valid structured data across the site and zero errors. The firm went from largely invisible in AI search to one of the best-prepared valuation businesses in the country.
"Bart has an extensive wealth of knowledge in business and AI and has helped my business implement an AI chat assistant. His approach is methodical and results-focused." - Miranda Bravo Hollands, Bravo Accountants
The problem: People researching a new accountant do it at night, on weekends, in tax-time panic - exactly when nobody is at the desk to answer. Website visitors with a question would leave without making contact, and the practice never knew they'd been there.
What we built: An AI chat assistant trained on the practice's services, answering visitor questions on the website in plain English and turning a conversation into a captured enquiry with contact details - in the moment, while the visitor was still interested.
What changed: Website questions were answered around the clock, and enquiries that used to evaporate landed in the inbox as warm leads. One of our first client builds - and the approach it proved now runs in businesses across the Coast.
"I feel like if I don't get on board with it sooner rather than later, I feel like I'm using it the same way that 98% of the rest of the population's using AI."
The problem: A multi-business owner running several companies on the Sunshine Coast. Sharp, ambitious, already using ChatGPT and Claude - but knew he was only scratching the surface. He didn't want to hire a developer or hand it all off to an agency. He wanted to understand AI from the ground up and learn how to use it across all his businesses.
What we did: A Become AI-First partnership - a hands-on, done-with-you programme where we work through real business problems together. Not a course. Not a consulting engagement. A genuine partnership where he brings the business knowledge and we bring the AI expertise. We build together, solve together, and he walks away with skills that compound over time.
What changed: Within weeks, he went from basic AI usage to building his own automations, analysing his marketing data with AI, and finding opportunities his team had missed. The shift wasn't just about saving time - it was about seeing his businesses through a completely different lens. And because we built it together, he owns the knowledge. He's not dependent on us.

Founder of Blue Seas AI, based on the Sunshine Coast. I spent 16 years in finance, risk and compliance for major financial institutions before falling in love with AI and helping local businesses use it to get their time back. If I don't see ROI in it, we're not doing it - simple as that.
